Come join us for the 2022 ATI Spring Webinar on Saturday, April 23, 2022. The seminar will offer professional development for translators and interpreters interested in the legal/court and medical fields. Online access via Zoom will be available. We will focusing on the ASL Community at this year’s Spring Webinar!

Applicability of the ADA and Section 504 to the facility.
Auxiliary Aids, cultural factors, communication strategies, interpreting laws, assistive devices, and available resources.
Kimberly Minard
Speakers biography: Kimberly Minard is the Deaf Specialist with Arizona Commission for the Deaf and the Hard of Hearing (ACDHH). As a deaf specialist, I provide information and referral, empowerment, community development, outreach, and education, and many other services. Also, I provide advocacy for Deaf citizens, ensuring communication accessibility. I serve on the board as a Chair for the Deaf Women United. I love to travel and cook!

Victoria Vaughn
Speakers biography: Victoria Vaughn works as the Interpreter Assessment Coordinator for the Commission for the deaf and hard of hearing. She was born and raised in Illinois and attended University of Illinois at Chicago. In 2000, she moved to Arizona to escape the cold weather. She worked in the corporate field for many years then decided to follow her dream of becoming a sign language interpreter and attended the Phoenix College Interpreter Preparation Program. She is now an Arizona licensed interpreter. She is an advocate for effective communication for everyone and enjoys educating our communities about that topic.
