Introducing the National Center for Interpretation 2018 Court Interpreter Training Institute
Next summer marks the 37th year of NCI’s renowned Court Interpreter Training Institute (CITI). For the first time the CITI will be administered as a hybrid program, with a series of webinars in June followed by two weeks of intensive, onsite instruction at the University of Arizona. This presentation will describe the various components of the 2018 CITI, as well as other medical and legal translation and interpretation offerings from NCI.

SDL Trados 2017: Let’s individually translate a document and learn some skills!
This presentation will give you some of the tools and features included in the SDL Trados 2017 version. Each individual will translate a document in the language pair of their choosing. After translation, you will be able to compare your translation with a version that has already been completed in your language.
Let’s simplify: Practical technology in the interpretation world
This session will give you an opportunity to see and use some of the tools that are available in the interpretation and translation world. We will discover how and when it would be helpful to use digital recorders, recording software, VRI and OPI technology, and transmitters and receivers.
