ATI was incorporated in March 2004 as a 501(c)(3) tax-exempt organization for educational purposes. Since then, ATI has become the go-to resource for education and professional development in the field of translation and interpretation throughout the state of Arizona.

- Reduced-rate registration for ATI Annual Conference and free entry to quarterly workshops in both Maricopa and Pima Counties–invaluable for members of other LSP organizations that require continuing education credits to retain certification, such as ATA

Membership Types
ATI membership is open to anyone with an interest in translation and interpreting as a profession or as a scholarly pursuit.
ATI has five membership categories:
- Associate Membership – for all those interested in or currently practicing in the field of translation or interpretation
- Student membership – for students at any Arizona university or certificate program related to interpreting, translation or linguistic studies
- Corporate Membership – designed for for-profit corporations and designated employees *
- Non-Profit Membership – for non-profit organizations and selected staff members **
- Honorary Membership – for those recognized for their service to linguistic education and professional development in the field of translation and interpretation ***
