Pima CC Translation and Interpretation StudiesMaster the skills needed to become a Spanish-English / English-Spanish translator or interpreter.  Through a combination of theory and practice, students gain experience in translating or interpreting in specialty areas including health care, legal, literary and business.Before you can enroll, in addition to the program prerequisites listed below you must demonstrate 50% competency in interpreting an oral presentation and in translating a document without aid.Program/Major Codes: AASTRANSLATE/TRI

Career options:  Seek entry-level positions translating written documents and/or interpreting oral passages

Academic Options:  While this program is not designed for transfer to a 4-year university, some of the courses in the program are transferable.
